A paper by Professor Katsuyoshi Kakinuma of the Clean Energy Research Center and Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center, "Anodic Performance of the Pt Catalyst Supported on CeO2 with a Scavenging Effect in a Wide Temperature Range up to 120 °C for Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells | ACS Catalysis" was published in ACS Catalysis by the American Chemical Society, and was selected to be featured on the cover of the journal.
The paper reports the development of new anode catalyst to mitigate the membrane degradation of PEFC under the wide temperature range. The new catalyst will contribute the widespread use of PEFC for trucks and buses toward the accomplishment of hydrogen society.
